Dance Desire was created with one simple mission, to support dancers and the incredible families and teachers who stand behind them. What began as a small dancewear destination out of the boot of founder Myfanwy Fish’s car, has grown into a trusted space where dancers of all ages can feel confident, prepared and inspired every time they step into class or onto the stage.

Since 2002, Dance Desire has proudly supported our local dance community with carefully selected apparel, footwear, and accessories from brand’s dancers know and love. We understand that dance is more than a hobby it’s a commitment, a passion, and a huge part of family life. A New Chapter

In 2024, after 10 years working within Dance Desire, Lauren Nairne took the reins of the business. Having grown alongside the store and built strong relationships with customers, studios and teachers, Lauren is passionate about continuing Dance Desire’s legacy while leading it into the future with fresh ideas, heart, and community connection.

As a dance mum and business owner, Lauren deeply understands the juggling act that dance families and educators manage every week. Dance Desire is built around the belief that dancewear shouldn’t add to the overwhelm, it should simplify life.

Lauren is especially passionate about helping dance families, studios, and teachers ease the mental load when it comes to dance apparel, fashion, shoes, and accessories. From uniform fittings and studio orders to performance essentials and pointe shoe fittings, our goal is to take the stress out of preparation so dancers can focus on what matters most, dancing.

Dance Desire is more than a store it’s a community hub. We love celebrating milestones, supporting local studios and being part of each dancer’s journey from their very first pair of shoes to their journey onto Pointe.
